Did you know that the open rate for real estate email is around 36%?
If you want to get your real estate emails open, then watch this short video:
That means 2 out of 3 people never even open your newsletter.
First impressions matter, and if your subject line doesn’t make the cut, then that beautiful newsletter you spent a day tweaking, is headed right for the trash.
The subject’s line first, last, and *only* job is to make sure your email gets opened.
So here are 3 tips to writing email subject lines that will get your email opened.
First, keep it short.
Anything over 50 characters hurts your open rate. Just like long emails don’t get read, emails with long subject lines don’t get opened.
Second, make it interesting.
You can do this by including specific numbers – something like – “4 tips for first-time homebuyers”, or by making it actionable – like “improve your credit score by 30 points in 14 days”
And the third is, be like Obama.
During his reelection Barack Obama spent a fortune hiring a direct marketing guru to draft all his fundraising emails. They tested a ton of different subject lines, and you want to know the one with the highest open rate?
It was simply “hey”.
It turned out to be best money-raising subject line.
Hey, it’s worth a shot…
