We’ve all heard stories about how internet leads are low quality, and don’t convert as well as referrals or personal intros. And that may be true, but Internet leads are getting a bad rap because of poor follow-up by agents. Watch the video here for more details:
Did you know that 58% of online leads choose the first agent that responds? Or that you are 7-times more likely to close the lead if you respond within the first hour?
According to the Harvard Business Review – the average follow-up time for online leads is 42 hours, and that 47% of all agents take longer than 24 hours, or never respond at all, to some portion of their internet leads.
Now, I’m no mathematician, but I’m pretty sure you convert zero percent of the leads you ignore.
Online lead conversion doesn’t have to be hard – you just need to be faster and more diligent. Make it a goal to follow-up to every lead within 1-hour and see if you don’t start converting more of these internet leads.
